JPEG Saving Options
#1
I'm reading the gimp Docs in gimp.org. I can't understand this part.

If the quality setting found in the original file are not better than your default quality settings, then the option "Use quality settings from original image" will be available but not enabled.

What does "the option is available but not enabled" mean?

Thanks for reading.

That means that if you really want it you can still click it (I think the author mean enabled=selected here).

The way I read it.

The default quality value for Gimp 2.8.x to save a jpeg is 90

You have image 1, quality 88 export in Gimp is 90 unless the "use from image.." is enabled. Then it exports at 88

You have image 2, quality setting is 93. Does not matter if "use from image.." is enabled or not, The export quality setting is 93. Wand something different, set the value manually.
