Inking & Coloring a Cartoon Character with Inkscape - Espermaschine - 10-16-2016

I made this as practice. Never did something like that before, but i've been following Jason Secrest's YT-channel for a while.

You can get the drawing for free from his website.

Inkscape can do a lot of things Illustrator does, so that was a fun experience.
Making the halftone pattern was a headache though. But thats not Inkscapes fault.

Curious to see the SVG. Can you post it (just added SVG to allowed attachments)?

Sure...!

In case you wanna know:
added the jpg template and locked the layer. Drew all the paths and then added 'Pattern Along Path' LPE for the inking.
Colored with the 'Bucket Fill Tool'.
Then did editing of overlaps and for some of that i had to convert the LPE's into paths, and/or paths into strokes.

Added the pattern fill, outline, dropshadow, etc.

Edit: it seems i have to post and then edit the post to be able to attach the svg....
