Yeah only after trying out the different tools /options over many years have I now got a reasonable understanding of Gimp
that's why reading the posts here helps me so much and taking note of the advice and hints is a relaxed way of gathering more knowledge about Gimp

' well it happened like this - what happened was, I tried to edit the post and stuffed up OK just edit again and fix that no problem yeah managed to duplicate and stuff up again somedays I should not try to fix things and no there was no glasses of red involved
when I looked at the mess I'd made looked like a chook goes berserk .
