The reason for the creation, was that I needed one to match the default theme that comes in Linux Mint.

Your "slow" gray-to-gray gradient has visible banding. One way to mitigate it is to apply spread noise. There is also a way to apply "fake" gray (there are minute variations of the RGB channels) but I don't remember where I saw how it was done.
