Trying to work with spritesheets. Had a 128x128 grid for several weeks, but it has now vanished and will not return for any .xcf or .png image. Toggling "Show Grid" does nothing. "Image>Configure Grid" and "Edit>Preferences>Default Grid" configuration do nothing. Anyone have any idea how to get my grids back?
Tried a few things and I can not reproduce that.

Assuming that you have a sensible foreground color for the type of canvas color you use, Line style Intersection(dots) can be difficult to see.

You could try resetting the toolbox
Edit -> Preferences -> Tool Options -> Reset Tool Options to default values

Bit of a mystery?
Only thing I can think of:
Your grid is set to 128 px
Your image size is smaller than that, say 100 x 100 px
The problem has fixed itself. It will doubtless re-occur, as it has in the past. I will submit additional information when it does.
This just happened for me today for the 1st time.
There were no "cured" in the results search here at the board so I went back to the "drawing board" and poked around some.
Somehow Show Grid under View Grid had gotten reset. Changed to View & grid came back.
