Hi all,
I've noticed that in the downloaded sourcecode if BIMP ( Batch Image Manipulation) plugin there are language files.
How can I use them? i.e. how do I get a language other than English?
Some system info: I'm on a Linux Mint MATE 18.3 64bit with GIMP 2.8.22.
Have you compiled BIMP?
Not difficult, throws up a couple of warnings but works
If you have BIMP running, have you tried putting the bimp-locale folder in ~/.gimp-2.8/plug-ins.
I only use English so I do not know if the German files work. (using Kubuntu 16.04)

It is where to put the files in linux. I have BIMP in ~/.gimp-2.8/plug-ins (which is where I think it should be) rather than /usr/lib/gimp/2.0/plug-ins
but it could be that the de help files
gimp20-plugin-bimp.mo & gimp20-plugin-bimp.po should go in root
/usr/share/locale/de/LC_MESSAGES/
don't know

Yes, I've compiled BIMP, no problem there.
Now I've put the bimp-locale folder in ~/.gimp-2.8/plug-ins
And it works!
Thank you very much Rich.
And not to forget: thank you Espermaschine for the Translation.
I don't need it for myself ... but was asked by a friend who doesn't speak English.
