That works quite well, one of the gmic filters maybe?
The building looks older than it is, only 1860 with those funny little gargoyles here and there.
The image I posted had already been edited to remove heavy shadow, then run through a little java application 'Painterly'. I walk past the place every other day, must get out with the camera and get decent shots when the light is good.
Yeah I forgot to mention. the 'paint daub' filter
