Full Version: How to automate "Autocrop Image"?

Every time I reduce the image size, there's some space remaining. Autocrop image removes it. It would be nice if that rather obvious need, could be done automatically.

Is there a way to do this?

Thanks in advance guys [Image: smile.gif]
Likely because you are scaling the layer and not the image. See Image>Scale image.
my guess:

You are using the crop tool with the tool option Current layer only enabled. Untick it.

Mmm, interesting...
I like shortcuts, so I have been using Shift-T instead.

Too bad I don't see a shortcut for the one you showed me.
But I guess I'll start using it to save a step.

No... You are doing what Ofnuts assumed and scaling the layer (shift-T)

You need to be scaling the image, Image -> Scale Image no shortcut for that, although one can be assigned and it has no dragging-handles-on-the-canvas.

If you want to continue with your shift-T shortcut, then assign a shortcut to autocrop.

Bottom of the edit menu -> keyboard shortcuts.

maybe something like for the Y key
