Can't believe I've had GIMP for so long and have only just starting playing around with it's artistic elements.

These are all from scratch - no filtered photos.

Very good art! Do you use a mouse or a tablet and pen?

I just use a crappy old mouse - which is fine as most of my stuff is abstract anyway.

Not looked into getting a decent tablet and pen, but I suspect it's beyond my current means.

I like River's Edge.

River's Edge is certainly the more conventional (in fact it doesn't really sit comfortably with the abstract style of the others).

I like it, but it starts to expose my amateurism as it moves towards the river itself. It starts to take on an 'airbrush' look and I think this is because I used the blend tool too much.
