Hi
New to this forum so please forgive any dum questions.

I installed 2.10 last evening and whilst generally pleased I have noticed that I'm unable to open either C: or D: from the file open menu.  I see favorites and recently used but cannot open the root level.  If I enter as a location the full path to the image there is no problem but unable to navigate through the explorer.

Previous versions 2.8 etc and there is no issue.

Huh

Any ideas?

Windows 10.

(the last comment describes a workaround)
Thanks Ofnuts hop a fix isn't that far off.

I recall a recent post somewhere (can't find it) about the last Win10 update and 'controlled folder access' preventing opening folders. The solution was to disable it.

I use linux but some info here: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-gb/windows...loit-guard

Might be worth a try

Thanks for the tip, however I am using Avast, and can't fix the issue, does anyone know how to configure it in Avast?
At the moment more likely to be the Windows version of Gimp
