GIMP 2.10.4 In order to display the PSD file correctly, the "Merge" function is activated!
But how should I show all the layers?  Sad

It is explained here: https://www.gimp.org/news/2018/07/04/gim...provements

There are the two options in the Open File dialogue. At the moment all I can suggest is set the file type to photoshop image (*.psd), see if it makes any difference.

If you can post a link to the problem file, even better. I picked up a free psd but do not know if it is 'maximum compatibility' or not
Re: rich2005
Just use the PSD saved by GIMP, but now the PSD saved by GIMP can't see the layers again.
So I can't edit the design on a layer.
I do not know, I use .psd files once in a "blue-moon" as the saying goes.

I was referring to opening the .psd not saving. Gimp will save whatever it loaded.

Maybe Gimp 2.10 will automatically merge without regard to if photoshop image(*.psd) or photoshop image (merged)(*.psd) was selected. I do not know without a definitive psd image.

With the psd I just downloaded, I see no difference between Gimp 2.8 and Gimp 2.10 Any adjustment layers/fx layers, if they were there, are gone.

Using a Gimp 2.10.4 linux flatpack here so I can keep Gimp 2.8.22 as an alternative. If you can give a link to the problem psd maybe someone can find a solution.
The GIMP team has confirmed that this is a Bug.
Waiting for repair~
For anyone this is the report https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/gimp/issues/1825

They add a bug tag for just about anything. Do not hold your breath.

This is your procedure:

Quote:1. Create 3 layers in GIMP 2.10.4 and export them as PSD files. (Draw a few strokes on each layer as a marker)

2. Then use GIMP to open this PSD file with only one layer. At this time, there are 3 layers in the PSD file, but GIMP will display the layer as a merged effect.

Must confess I do not understand that, I suspect a language issue.

I make an image with 3 layers, export as a some-name.psd
Close image
Open just saved some-name.psd file.
It has the 3 layers as original.
Nothing merged. Using a Kubuntu 16.04 + flatpak Gimp 2.10.4
Re: rich2005
I just installed flatpak-GIMP, but opening the PSD file is still a layer merge effect @v@
(The operating form of 1 and 2. )
---------------------------------------------------
I have found the cause of the problem.
The problem is the interface language of GIMP.

I tested use Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, Russian interface. ⊙﹏⊙‖∣°
(Opening the PSD file is a layer merge effect.)

Use English (en_US), Korean interface. O(∩_∩)O
(effect is normal, all layers will be displayed.)
Are these indexed images? Indexed color images will flatten the image
GIMP 2.10.6 has fixed this problem.
