Hi

happy to join You on this forum

while I open a picture, I have this error message (I try to translate from french)

"error message..............call error for the procedure gimp-image-set-resolution .........image definition is too high (?), .....use of the default definition"

is important ? does it damage picture ?

can I modify picture keeping all qualities ?

thanks a lot
Which version of Gimp are you using 2.10 / 2.8 ?

What format of image are you opening png / jpeg / tiff / or something else?

Do you know the dimensions of the image in pixels?

As much information as possible needed.

Hi

with Gimp 2.10 all is ok................sorry for inconvenience
Resolution is just meta-data. Useful for printing and that's it. You can reset it with Image>Print size
