I have downloaded GIMP 2.10 (extension .exe).  There was no notice concerning installing it.  I double-clicked the exe downloaded file but it simply goes through the setup routine again. How can I installl the program now?
Once you have run gimp-2.10.6-setup.exe, look in your startup menu, you should find a Gimp entry there. They may also be one in some "recently installed programs" submenu.

Where you expecting a desktop icon for Gimp?

Using just the install option (1) does not automatically create one.

You can make your own from the Gimp executable C:\Program Files\GIMP 2\bin\gimp-2.10.exe

or try running the installer again, this time using the Customize option (2) which eventually gets you the chance for a desktop icon.

I have done what you suggested but I didn't get the program icon I got the gimp exe icon again on the desktop.
Lost your log-in details? Wink

Did you ever get Gimp 2.10 running? Since you have already installed Gimp several times it might be best to start again from scratch. The Windows registry entries for the install might be the problem

1. Use the Windows uninstall menu and uninstall Gimp 2.10.6

2. Check that all of the C:\Program Files\GIMP 2\ folder is gone. If still there delete it.

3. Follow this procedure for the installation.
