Recently downloaded Gimp 2.10.8 on MAC running High Sierra
Interested in additional filters for converting photos to sketches, water color and oil painting

I do not seem to have all the filters that I have seen on various web pages for doing these sorts of things.  There seems to be more than what came with the download.

Can anyone tell me where to go to get them and how to install.

Not many MAC users here.

There are thousands of filters for Gimp. They are not all in one place. Best is to give the exact name of the filter you are wanting and someone should be able to help.

The most popular add-on is G'MIC available from here: https://gmic.eu/  It is a collection of about 500 filters. Make sure to download the correct version. I am not a MAC user so can't help with installation, but hopefully someone will.
