So I downloaded version 2.10.6, and it loaded my files no problem.

However, the program is kind of flaky and keeps crashing when I'm trying to rotate and crop images etc.

GIMP doesn't seem ready for Windows 7 yet. So I will thank you for your help, and probably get Photoshop Elements instead.

Is it really CAN$149.99 ? Have a look at Serif Affinity Photo, should be much cheaper and gets good reviews.

Edit: snag, 64 bit OS required, looks like the same for latest PS Elements, might have to search for an old version.

Even better, install linux on your computer - get a 64 bit installation - install Gimp
