I need to rotate this line drawing of a Brown Bess muzzle loader 90 degrees to the right. I haven't been able to get a background to fit the new dimensions. A little baffled, even manually typing the letters and the image stubbornly stays to the original.

Image > Transform > Rotate 90 clockwise

and not Layer > Transform > Rotate 90 clockwise
(the Rotate Tool also only rotates the layer)
