Is this a bug or what should I do to be able to use the Decompose CMY filter?

I can use Extract Component - CMYK (C, M, Y and k).

But when trying Decompose CMY the following error message appears:

   GIMP Error
Crashed Plugin: "decompose.exe"
(C: \ Users \ ... \ Gimp-2.10.14_Portable-32-64bit-Win \ lib \ gimp \ 2.0 \ plug-ins \ decompose \ decompose.exe)

The dying plugin may have messed up GIMP's internal state. You may want to save your images and restart GIMP to be on the safe side.

This happens in both version 2.10.12 and 2.10.14 (Samj's Portable).

Thank you very much in advance.
There is a bug report about this: https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/gimp/issues/3405 AFAIK not liable to be fixed soon.

Alternatives:
Triplicate into three layers and apply Colors -> Components -> Extract Component (GEGL) for each of C, M , Y in turn. Key is still broken and returns a black layer.
Steal the two plugins compose / decompose from a Gimp 2.8 installation for use in Gimp 2.10.

1-Yep ... I checked the report. Done 6 months ago. :-(

2-Yes, there seems to be no other way. Unfortunately, the K channel has no salvation.
I would like to use PatDavid's script that decomposes a color image to channels using various decomposition methods. (RGB, Value, Lightness, CMY, (cmy) K, L (ab), Luma).

But with this bug, the script generates 5 channels (RGB, HSL-L and HSV-V) and then crashes.

3-I started using Gimp from version 2.10.01. To get these 2 plugins or I would have to download a Gimp 2.8 or rely on the generosity of others.

Rich2005, thank you so much! At least I know that my Gimp is not the reason for the problem.
