Is there a way to make my brush list window stretch out to the edges of the toolbox? As it's currently set up, I have to scroll left and right to see all the details of the brush options, which doesn't make sense, as there's plenty of room.

I started learning Gimp a few days ago, so I may be overlooking an obvious solution.

You can open the brushes list in its own window (Windows>Dockable dialogs>Brushes) and select the brush there (this also true for fonts, patterns, gradients, palettes). This window can be "docked" somewhere (I have these lists as tabs in my UI)
