Is this for dye-sublimination or water-slip printing? For once Gimp and ppi does not really apply but you should be using a 300 ppi template for quality printing.

Looking up some properties: Description 11 oz ceramic mug  Dimensions 3.7″ height x 3.2″ outside diameter  Imprint area 8.6″ length x 3.7″ height  Assuming you are using US letter size stock for printing 8.5" x 11" You can get 2 images on with landscape mode.
To get more than that the only way is decrease the size of the image. 3 images 6" x 2.5" (keeping aspect ratio but not set in stone) with the paper in portrait mode is feasible.  Attached a couple of USletter (stock Gimp 300 ppi) pages as examples. These are gimp compressed .xcf.gz open straight up with Gimp 2.10
Something like this just a full page to print because right now its only giving me space for 2 cups as you can see. Thanks in advance.
There is no way around that. It is physical size needed to wrap around the mug.

The only way is make the image size on the mug smaller.

Right now I'm using A4 on Landscape 297.01 x 209.97 (px) and when I print its the perfect size but only gives me 2 cups, which only prints on half of the page but seems to have room for about 2 more.

Getting information is like pulling teeth Wink A4 landscape but what size are the labels. Assuming these are cut out for a heat press perhaps.

...seems to heve room.. is not a very exact measurement. If the template gives two labels then probably two is all you get.

Easy to check if it is possible. Copy the labels area and paste back in, then try for a fit. 45 second example: https://i.imgur.com/ElAnteT.mp4
A4 might be too narrow in portrait mode, consider trimming or resizing the labels. It will leave a bit more of the mug exposed. Give your customers a discount.
