I need to draw a series of connected lines but each segment should be of a different color. Is there a quick way (shortcut) to change foreground color without having to do it manually for each segment?

Thanks

More than one way. You can keep the foreground colour select open and drag the colour around as you are drawing.

However the way I suggest is:
Windows -> Dockable Dialogues -> Palettes which opens the palette dock.
Scroll through the palettes to find a suitable one and click on it to open the palette editor.
Clicking on a colour in the palette editor changes the FG colour.
Remember click - shift- click draws in straight lines.

Perfect!

Thank you.
