I need to use GIMP on a Windows 10 PC. I got used to the comfort of App Images. It is a Linux only provision, right ? Will it work in Windows 10 ?

Very definitely will not work in Windows.

Probably the closest is the samj 2.10.22 portable, it will run off a usb stick, but it is a bit of a monster

PortableApps also has woked well for me on Windows in times of need
