Full Version: how to make smaller screenshots

I want to take a screenshot of an app, but not so that the screenshot can be viewed full size.

I just want to show off the app w/o giving away too many of the details of the controls. And if someone tries to expand the size, it will be unreadable.

I will then post these screenshots on it's website.

Can anyone point to how that might be done?
Before you make the screenshot you can zoom the screen down (in your browser or other software) so the information is not readable and then make a screenshot.

Since you are in Gimp, why don't you scale down in Gimp?

If you want to keep the screenshot at full scale you can blur the text with Filters>Blur>Pixellize or Filters>Noise>Spread. Spread noise is less noticeable.
