Hi,
I am on macbook pro Big Sur, I am using gimp 2.10 and trying to install plug-in from Da Big Gimping.
I followed a persons instructions but was unable to get it installed. 
Steps opened gimp
preferences
Folders
plugins folder see attached screen shot.
Closed program after reopened gimp still not showing up.
Help Please

Similar post here: http://gimpchat.com/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=18685#p258386 with some useful comments.  Does anything gimp-ish work with macOS big sur ?  Make sure the plugin is executable.

However you paid money for this, you should ask the developer (Infinitelaser.us ?) for information.

Maybe try an alternative MacOS Gimp version see: http://www.partha.com
