Exif, XMP, IPTC
What are these values which prompt to get added to when exporting a file as PNG ? Is it safe to keep them ticked ? Any private info will be added ? Thanks.
With all options on:
If it is a 'created-from-new' png image that you have created then there is no meaningful information in the metadata. There might be a reference to Gimp and the creation time which is in the file info anyway.
If the png comes maybe from a camera image then there might be more information, including gps location, if the camera can include that (think mobile phone). Get a copy of XnViewMP and check for yourself.

I understand.
I wonder what information will come from Blender exported PNG and Inkscape exported PNG. I very rarely use camera photos on GIMP these days.
