Full Version: Float Selection Feathering/Transparency

Hello guys,

I can't remember when I first encountered this, but I think it was when 2.10 released. Why does the Select>Float function feather the edges of the selection? The previous versions were hard splits, now once you float, there is transparency between the old and new layers.

Is there a way to turn this off?

Is floating a selection not the best way?
Have you turned off anti-aliasing in the selection tool options ?
