Actually my suggestion in post #28 was just using layer mask.

No, the error is mine only. I had not read all posts carefully enough. And your English is at least as good as mine!

But I just liked so much that intermediate stage where I got white and black layers and the original picture appeared only as a layer mask, so I made the post too hastily. Sorry.
