Hello!

I use GIMP 2.8 a lot and I really like curved text.
However, there is a problem, look at the O.

is this the standard text-along-path function? If so you can also make the guide path visible and zoom on it?

I'll try zooming in on it now.

I tried zooming in on it, but it didn't make a difference.
Is there plugin that has a text-along-path tool? Like script-fu got drop shadow?

Zooming doesn't fix anything but it makes a problem more obvious. The distortion is possibly due to a tiny loop in the guide path that you cannot see at normal size.

Attaching the XCF here would help us finding that out.
It is the print resolution, 'x' and 'y' are different. The Times Bold font enhances that.
