[attachment=8505]  If I have a circle filled with red colour with anti-aliasing and feathering turned on, and if I then change the colour to blue, the colour on the edges still remains red. How can I fill the colour perfectly including the anti-aliased and feathered margins?
Since it is a white / solid background

Remove the white using Colors -> Color to Alpha
Lock the alpha channel (icon top of layers dialogue)
Bucket fill with new color
Replace any missing white by merging into a white under layer.

...but it does show the importance of using more than a single background layer.

Thank you. I could not reproduce your results though I tried many times - till I realized that at 0:19 you were filling the entire selection, while I was using Fill Similar Colours. Thanks again.  Smile
