A very common 'how do I do this' question but not really for a brand-new Gimp user.
Something like this

How to get there:
Always search for a better version. The image posted is 580x241 pixels From here https://arstechnica.com/gaming/2020/09/r...o-azeroth/ a slightly larger 932x386 image. If you can find one with name boards & without text even better.
The text is not text, just pixels, no way of altering it, Remove it by cloning from adjoining areas. It will never look wonderful, saving grace is mostly hidden by the new text.
New text and fonts. Do you want identical fonts ? That is unlikely, although you might find something close. One of them is this https://www.dafont.com/lifecraft.font and the other ? Similar is a standard linux font. Search for Z003medium italic (or use something else) Tapered text as in Small is done per character. Keep the text layers and duplicate. Moving / rotating / embellishing makes the layer non-text.
The bevel made with a script GT-bevel (search for it) Drop shadow is Gimp filter.
Attached and hope it helps is the Gimp file. Have a look at the layers, try and figure out how it is built-up.

I did nearly the same as rich2005. Additonally i'v colorized (Colors -> Map -> sample colorize) "Bobby" and gave it an outline with ofnut's outline layer script (https://sourceforge.net/projects/gimp-to...s/scripts/).
