Hello,
I just edited a pdf file and re-exported it as pdf.
The result was an empty file with file size 957.
I made several attempts with different files but to no avail.
I am using gimp 2.10.6.

Any suggestions?

Well, a couple of things

Using Gimp 2.10.6 You should really update to the current latest Gimp 2.10.32  see: http://www.gimp.org

When you open a PDF the default resolution is 100 pixels-per-inch (ppi) usually best to increase that to (say) 300 ppi which is a higher quality.

The Gimp 2.10 export pdf can / will export as pages. If it is a single page, then flatten the image before exporting.

For a better answer, can you attach an example pdf, For large files you might need to use dropbox or similar.

Truthfully, Gimp is not the best application for editing PDF's
I just updated to version 2.10.36 and this one does the re-export correctly!
thanx.
