Hello, I would like to know if any of you know how to remove a shine effect due to reflections?
On this image I would like to have the butt of the rifle uniform without shine effects.
Thank you in advance for any help you can provide me.
Use the Dodge/Burn tool to burn the highlights with a soft brushes (several strokes may be necessary):

Either that or give it a dab with the clone tool brush then heal tool brush to eben it out. Depending on the size you will need more for a large area.
I tried as follows:
I created a new layer and filled it with gray #343434, multiply mode (Maybe linear burn was another option);
With fuzzy Select Tool, I selected the bright part of the image;
On the new layer (in gray) I created a selection mask.
I adjusted the opacity of this mask and applied a blur to the mask to lessen the effect.

I think those were the steps.
Than you very much folks - it s a way much better now !
