How do you install the offline help in 2.8.0? I've spent to hours digging online and can't find any trace of instructions. The GIMP help pages just keep repeating over and over "Install the help file" and that's it. I downloaded it frolm

If you go here you can download a Gimp 2.8 Windows help files installer: https://download.gimp.org/gimp/help/windows/2.8/2.8.2/

You should get one to match the language setting in Gimp.  Run it to install.

Then set in Edit -> Preferences -> Help as this:

[attachment=9696]

Should work as:

[attachment=9697]
