It's mid 2011 27" Aluminum iMac with Intel© Core™ i5-2500S CPU @ 2.70GHz × 4 running OSX 10.13.6

caveat, I am not a Mac user.
An Intel CPU - use the Intel version here https://www.gimp.org/downloads/
However, It is an old machine and that is an up-to-date Gimp.
If that version is not compatible, then there is a Gimp 2.10.22 for Mac here: https://www.partha.com/ that might work. Nothing wrong with Gimp 2.10.22 version
