Beginning from text and 'Text to Path' 1. Duplicate text path T1 and move the copy = T2: 'Tools>Generate envelope of 2 paths...' T1 to T2 creates a selección S 2. Create a layer with transparent background = C below your text, and fill selección S with light blue (the extrusion dominant color). This defines the extent of the extrusion, minus black lines. 3. ofn-path-rungs between T1 and T2 -by spacing -force rungs on anchors -some large spacing, ie 50px or more, rest defaults except 'bendiness = 0' -by hand: delete excess rungs (selections and 'Edit>Delete strokes' comes handy), and move some excess rungs to the center of 'rounded cornes' (font-dependant: ideal would be sharp corners) 4. Add anchors to T2 in intersections with T1--by hand ('pixelation' prevents exactness) 5. From the background layer, 'Select>All' and on the copied path T2, 'Edit>Disjoin strokes' 6. On T1, 'path to selection' and 'Select>Shrink... = 1px' 7. Switch to T2 and 'Edit>Delete strokes' 8. Clean--by hand--surplus T2 strokes (between the rungs R and T1) 9. 'Render>Mass render>Stroke lines on visible paths...' for T1, T2 and R, into layer L with transparent background, and move it above your text 10. 'Fuzzy select' on layer L the adecuate portions (Shift + wand select), switch to layer C to re-color part of the extrusion in yellow (secondary color).
