RE: Unknown file type - rich2005 - 05-02-2025

Just a note, no developers here: (well sometimes, just the occasional one) and I suspect RAV does not listen to anyone.

I used to do a bit of video editing in the past when DVD was favourite. Used Gimp for the titles / menus and DVD print.

Never used HitFilm but VideoHelp which I trust says https://www.videohelp.com/software/HitFilm and https://www.videohelp.com/software/HitFilm/old-versions where you might get a "safe" installer.

Video editing is like Gimp, you invest a lot getting to know the software and reluctant to move elsewhere but there are editors that still have good support and probably as many effects. Thinking OpenShot or Kdenlive.

Thank you … thank you :-)

I kept Kdenlive, have a better look at it for some time, looks neat.
Yes true it is. I am working with Hitfilm for years now, not really looking forward to learn something els. Now I have Hitfilm back, still have a lot of Hitfilm files.

Thank you … thank you :-)
