There is a Gimp 3.0 RC1 there now, but only for 'buntu 24.04 I have tried out in a kubuntu 24.04 VM and with help from samj, compiled a gimp_gmic_qt plugin that seems to work.

Good to know, even if in the mean time I've managed to build Gimp3 from source, so I can git-pull and recompile versions between RCs.
Downloaded your GMIC and it works fine with the homebrew Gimp3. Thanks!

I tried Gimp 3.0 rc1 from ppa, with your G'Mic QT on Mint 22 (Ubuntu 24.04 base) and it works... then I'll try to do something.

The PPA https://launchpad.net/~mati75/+archive/ubuntu/gimp30 has been updated to Gimp 3.0 RC2 Only for 'buntu 24.04 (and spin offs)
@vitforlinux - I have tried your scripts 300_mhbevel3d.scm and yaChrome-300.scm ...and yes they do register but generate errors when applied. - back to the drawing board.

Now all my scripts make errors... but it will be long to fix.
Thanks for the report... but font, gradient & patterns selectors not works, bug in Gimp 3.0 rc2 reported.

Using the Git Gimp3RC2 AppImages
Filters > Development > Plug-In Examples > Scheme has never really worked.
It must be hard updating scheme plug-ins at the moment. I found IvanHC's scheme binary worked but it's not being used.
