Gimp 3.02 is losing Exif data - Printable Version

Gimp 3.02 is losing Exif data - robertkjr3d - 05-07-2025

I have not changed my preferences and I checked it.  I have it set to put exif data in the output.  I normally output tiff files.  But I also output jpegs neither one ended up with Exif data from the original file...   I'll post another problem I'm having separately after upgrading to 3.02.

So I had to retrieve the Exif data with exiftool from the original file after editing with gimp.

[Image: Capture2.png] I didn't realize that I needed to change this setting.  Why wouldn't it just be default to checked?
