Why Gimp sort folders in this way? - mrkid - 06-15-2025

Hi! Im working with a book, and each chapter has a name, "Chapter 01, chapter 02...chapter 11" etc. But Gimp open dialog, when i sort by the folder name columns, sort it the 10,11,12, first, then 01, 02, etc
Any way to have a "normal" order. Iincluded an screenshot

They are possibly sorted by date (most recent at top, usually)... What happens if you click on the "Name" column header?

Behaves as expected for me. I assume that in the Windows explorer, the files are listed in the expected order? Because it could be that the space at the end of "Capitulo" isn't always a plain space.

Also, if you click on the "Name" header, you should get and indication that it is used as the sort key:
