Problems with ofn3-Plug-Ins - Emso - 07-24-2025 Hi there ;-) with my new computer (Windows 11) I also downloaded the latest Gimp version (3.0.4). With my former PC I used two plug-ins provided by ofn. I downloaded the to plug-ins: ofn3-layer-tiles.zip and ofn3-export-layers.zip. The unzipped folders are in here: C>user>NAME>AppData>Roaming>Gimp>3.0>plug-ins When I open Gimp I can see the plug-in "ofn3-layer-tiles" but there is no way to also see the second plug-in. II can't find it in the python console either. Any suggestions out there? I am at a loss. Thanks, Emso RE: Problems with ofn3-Plug-Ins - rich2005 - 07-24-2025 I have not had a chance of trying with Windows 11 but menu registration is working correctly linux / Gimp 3.0.4 Help -> Plug-in Browser with a search for layer to narrow it down gives the locations which are working here. [attachment=13740] First thing to check might be the plugin folder name is the same as the .py file name ofn3-export-layers / ofn3-export-layers.py RE: Problems with ofn3-Plug-Ins - Emso - 07-24-2025 (07-24-2025, 01:30 PM)rich2005 Wrote: I have not had a chance of trying with Windows 11 but menu registration is working correctly linux / Gimp 3.0.4 Hi rich2005, thanks for your answer. The folder name is the same. I can't understand why one plug-in works while the other one doesn't. It's the same folder, the same provider, both are for Gimp3. I do not have the Export all layers under FILE. It only worked on my ole PC with Gimp2.0. The Plug-in is not listed under Help>Plug-in Browser. Only the other Plug-in is listed. Any other suggestions out there? Can you open the C:>user>NAME>AppData>Roaming>Gimp>3.0>pluginrc file in a text editor and see if it mentions ofn3-export-layers? You can also try to re-extract the .PY file in case it got corrupted by a text editor. RE: Problems with ofn3-Plug-Ins - rich2005 - 07-24-2025 See what Emso come up with, but it does look like a Windows (11) thing. This starting Gimp 3.0.4 (the gimp.org installer) in a terminal using gimp --verbose Not a lot of error messages other than as shown. [attachment=13741] Edit: python-console says python 3.12.10 RE: Problems with ofn3-Plug-Ins - Ofnuts - 07-24-2025 The error for the PNG is "normal". If this bothers you you can erase the PNG file. But it shouldn't prevent Gimp from trying to load the Python file. I've downloaded the file several times... And I don't get any error message, unfortunately. In the pluginrc file I do see the tile-plug-in but NOT the layers-plug-in. No clue, why. Hi Ofnuts, the tile-plug-in is listed in the pluginrc, but not the exprt-layers-plug-in! RE: Problems with ofn3-Plug-Ins - rich2005 - 07-24-2025 @Emso Back on my old laptop with Win 10 / Gimp 3.0.4 and it is the same there. The plugin does not show in the File menu Go into the plugin folder and delete the png file. [attachment=13742] ...and that seems a fix until Ofnuts investigates. It does export the layers. I was trying all different kind of things all day long. And it turns out it's a png file... You are the best!!!
