It´s possible to clone while scaling at same time? - mrkid - 10-02-2025 I mean, if you can make that the clone tool scale the source in realtime while cloning. The short answer is no (at least as far as I know) Maybe in stages, depending on what you want to do. You can clone onto a new transparent layer - enable sample merged in the clone tool options. Then as a separate operation scale it. [attachment=13949] RE: It´s possible to clone while scaling at same time? - sallyanne - 10-03-2025 Agree with rich. Not that I know either. If cloning only an area of an image you may want to set align to 'align' in the tool settings too. Another way if you want a part of an image larger or smaller it is to duplicate your original image then scale the duplicate and crop to the part you want. RE: It´s possible to clone while scaling at same time? - denzjos - 10-03-2025 If you make a (round) selection and copy it, you get a brush from the selection. You can then make this brush smaller or larger and use it in different places. You can also use the 'dynamics' with that brush (if needed) [attachment=13952] RE: It´s possible to clone while scaling at same time? - Ofnuts - 10-03-2025 Maybe the Perspective clone tool ?
RE: It´s possible to clone while scaling at same time? - mrkid - 10-03-2025 Hi! Thanks All! Yes, i know i can to clone to a transparent layer, then scale, but thanks anyway the tip and your time to explain it to me. About the Perspective Clone tool, it is great! But i cant figure how it will make bigger the source image, i see the change of perspective just. I found a video in youtube showing that it magnifyies the thing, but since the perspective is not showed as a preview, is hard to imagine exactly what it does. I think a mystery since the beginning of Gimp

HAHA! Thanks anyway. RE: It´s possible to clone while scaling at same time? - mrkid - 10-05-2025 I have been watching this video, and i got it. Yes, clone perspective tool can do the job i want. Not exactly, but can help. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z0DT2DQGd9M Would be useful to just add the option to just scale the result of the cloning, since perspective cloning can scale but at same time it distorts the result. |
