RE: "Plug-in crashed" on GIMP 3.0.6, Windows 11 - skullamrotis - 11-03-2025 I'm having the EXACT same problem, but in Arch Linux. I already tried to reinstall with no success. Even if I try to convert the jpeg to png and webp, using the image magick, I still cannot open the png, nor the webp file. Using Arch Linux, on most recent KDE, on wayland. AMD64 cpu, and 5700xt graphics card. The error messages are the exact same. RE: "Plug-in crashed" on GIMP 3.0.6, Windows 11 - rich2005 - 11-04-2025 It might be this bug: https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/gimp/-/issues/15129 quote: There's metadata in the file that causes GIMP to crash. We've fixed it in source and the correction will be in the next release. You could try using ImageMagick mogrify -strip image.jpg then see if it opens in Gimp.
