Hi,
I am using Gimp 2.10.38 and also trying 3.0.8 on Windows and Linux too.
In Photoshop I am able to view the RGB values of a particular pixel while adjusting the:
Image > Adjustments > Curves

So far I haven't worked out how to do this in gimp. The FG/BG Colour Scales Tab doesn't change with adjusting the curves.

AI said there was an "Info" dockable dialogue. But when I look for one there isn't one:

I checked the Colormap dialog. Here it is with an rgb image:

After changing Image > Mode to Indexed it looks like this:

Not too sure what is meant by a particular pixel in the context of the attached animations, however maybe try sample points.

Thank you all for pointing me in the right direction. The sample points is exactly what I was looking for. Perhaps that was what AI was pointing at.
