XP-Pen tablet works in Paint but not in GIMP - LEOCFZ1973 - 06-20-2026 [attachment=14486][attachment=14486][attachment=14487]Hello, I am using GIMP on Windows and an XP-Pen tablet. The tablet works normally in Microsoft Paint and I can draw without any problem. In GIMP, the pen is detected and appears under Input Devices. The cursor moves normally, but when I try to paint on the canvas nothing is drawn. What I have already checked: Brush tool selected Opacity 100% Visible layer selected Foreground color set to red Tablet works correctly in Paint GIMP detects the XP-Pen stylus When I touch the canvas, I only see a strange cursor/icon near the crosshair, but no brush stroke appears. Could this be related to Input Devices, Windows Ink, or a tablet configuration issue? Screenshots attached. Thank you. RE: XP-Pen tablet works in Paint but not in GIMP - rich2005 - 06-20-2026 Your screenshot shows the paths tool not the brush or pencil tools. If you make a screenshot of Gimp do not use your phone, take a screenshot of the whole Gimp interface like this one. [attachment=14488] Try using a brush Make sure the tool options are open In the tool options enable dynamics (if closed) and choose a suitable dynamic. Gimp 3 is quite good with tablets this quick (48 second) demo using my veikk tablet but I do use linux not MS Windows https://sendvid.com/mfx6tn50 no audio |
