Hi, greetings to everyone. I'm trying to break free from Adobe's grip, so I've taken the plunge and tried GIMP, and I love it. I've been exploring the plugins—to cut a long story short—I've forked an outdated plugin and added new features. In Photoshop, I used TyperTools a lot, so this works in a similar way. I hope you like it and please leave your feedback.

It is for adding text to a selection - aimed at cartoon/manga artists.
Worth looking at the readme. It is a fork of this https://github.com/nicolalandro/gimp-baloon-plugin Some screenshots of the old version there.
Using kubuntu 24.04 / Gimp 3.2.4 looks like this:

In use, nice color picker, template recovers properties but is the text supposed to be centered in the "bubble" (or am I doing something wrong) ?
