Is that possible  ?
Can i increase the Brightness of an image to better see what im doing while i work on it and later reverse it back by the inverted amount ?

Unbelievable (and awesome) !

After so many years of using this program, there are stil tons of little things i have never noticed before.

Which one do i use for brightening up the image...Gamma ?

Gamma, yes. Or make a suitable color profile and use it via "Color Proof".
