If you want to get rid of the dotted yellow line you can go to View -> Show Layer Boundary and turn them off.
Sometimes they get in the way, when you try to get the position right.

Thanks for the tip, how did I do on the darkening?

RE: Cuting out someone - Espermaschine - 03-22-2018

I think i would make him smaller and position more in the back of the image. Dont you think ?

The darkening....all kinds of options: Levels Tool, Brightness & Contrast Tool. I would go with th Curves Tool probably.
Make sure you work on a copy of the layer so you have a backup, in case you want to change things later or for comparing before and after !

Then you must find a way to simulate the haze thats all over the roadimage.
Notice how the kid looks crisp, while the roadimage has this foggy quality ?

I used curves and brightness and contrast

I do want him to be visible, can't make him too small. How do you make haze, or fog? Sorry I'm a newb at this stuff.

I dunno. Be inventive. This is art !

I would probably try to make a texture by painting on a transparent layer with a fuzzy brush with white and a very low opacity.
The idea is to get different levels of opacity on top of each other, but make it very subtle.
Then adjust the opacity of the layer.
Havent tried, just an idea.

Looks like he's floating above the street.

This compositioning. Its not as easy as you might think.
Takes a lot more than removing the background.

RE: Cuting out someone - SolidSnake2003 - 03-22-2018

Yeah, thats why I moved him to the bottom so he didn't looke like he was floating

https://imgur.com/a/U5P4V I resized him more

You might want to take your time and learn about perspective and vanishing points to solve this problem.
This video is good at explaining whats going on.

I made the alterations before I started the video you sent me.

Trying to figure out the vanishing point, and maybe if I should use a different picture
