Separation of 2 images - Psychozike - 03-31-2018

Hi! Cool
I'm pretty new to gimp and there's something I'd like to do. I have 2 images that I would like to separate like on the image attached to this post. I do not know how to do it, could someone help me please? Angel

RE: Separation of 2 images - Blighty - 03-31-2018

1. Use the Free Select Tool to make a selection around one image. The selection is demarcated with "marching ants".
(NB: In the image below I have emphasised the selection with red so that it can be seen. The actual selection is not outlined in red - just the "marching ants"

2. Do Edit > Copy (or Ctrl-C)

3. Do Edit > Paste As > New Image

4. Repeat for the other image.
