Error when opening JPEG image - amber1999 - 04-12-2018 [attachment=1638] Hi everyone, I keep receiving this error when trying to open a particular JPEG image. All other images open fine, just this one doesn't work. Has anyone ever experienced this before and has found a solution? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks, Amber RE: Error when opening JPEG image - Ofnuts - 04-12-2018 Your image file is likely corrupt. Is the file size coherent with the other images? Can you post a URL to the image if it is available on the web? RE: Error when opening JPEG image - amber1999 - 04-12-2018 Hi Ofnuts, Thanks for the reply. Is there any way to fix it? URL is below: https://moppity.com.au/moppity-cato-la-lucha-tempranillo-nv/ RE: Error when opening JPEG image - rich2005 - 04-12-2018 My opinion, gone for ever. What you are seeing when trying to open the jpeg is an embedded thumbnail opened in other grapics application https://i.imgur.com/sbTleyH.jpg edit: Opened up the file in a binary editor, still a lot of information there, can it be recovered - doubtful. edit 2: Running the downloaded file https://moppity.com.au/wp-content/uploads/2018/04/Moppity-Cato-La-Lucha-Tempranillo-NV.jpg through imagemagick -verbose and the properties (before lots of errors are reported ) Code: Image: Moppity-Cato-La-Lucha-Tempranillo-NV.jpg Which is a large file, going to be bigger than 403528 B that I downloaded. Is that the size you were expecting? RE: Error when opening JPEG image - Ofnuts - 04-12-2018 (04-12-2018, 07:14 AM)amber1999 Wrote: Hi Ofnuts, This is the URL to a whole page, not to an image. If you want the barrels image, which is here: https://moppity.com.au/wp-content/uploads/2018/02/Barrels-02.jpg It downloads/opens fine in Gimp (1600x1039px, 311112 bytes). Maye you just have to download again. |
