Sometimes, GIMP ctrl+ P shortcut doesn't work - eru777 - 11-26-2019

I just wanted to report a bug in which gimp doesn't register the print shortcut for ctrl+P
It's not a big deal, just a little bit annoying lol

I've tried clicking on the window to let it know I'm using GIMP and want to print from there too (in case I accidentally didn't) but the problem sometimes still occurs.

This is a Gimp users forum. We are not associated with the Gimp developers in any way.

The place to report a bug is https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/gimp/issues Even then, no good reporting a bug in Gimp 2.8 (as your profile), the developers will tell you to go and install the latest version of Gimp.

However, a quick try in a Win10/Gimp 2.10.14 and crtl-p works here. It does just bring up the Gimp print dialogue. It does not send straight to the printer or invoke the printers own printer-driver. screenshot: https://i.imgur.com/U5cKI0A.jpg

First check that the print dialogue is not hidden in some way, and of course, you do need an image open otherwise nothing happens.
