Set a default directory - Gully - 12-04-2019

How do I set a default directory for saving work to? I looked in Edit > Preferences and I could not find anything about storage or default work directory.

Open the Save window. Look at the bottom of the left hand column. There is a small +- there. Use the + to add a folder.

The current directory when you start Gimp (in Windows, this can be set in the shortcut) is also automatically added at the top of this list (when Gimp is started by clicking on a file, this is the directory of this file).

The "Recently used" list is also worth visiting.
